LBA Computer Solutions
Founded by Lisa Brown in 1997, LBA Computer Solutions blends more than 20 years of hands-on technology experience with a strong focus on technical writing, content creation, and knowledge base development and management.
Lisa has spent her career as an independent contractor supporting small businesses, home users, and enterprise organizations centered as a Subject Matter Expert “SME”—translating complex systems into clear, actionable information.
About LBA Computer Solutions
LBA Computer Solutions was founded in 1997 as a niche service designed to provide practical computer understanding for small businesses and home users. At a time when many people were just beginning to rely on personal computers for day-to-day work, Lisa saw the need for clear, patient guidance.
Early work focused on setting up and supporting peer-to-peer networks, troubleshooting desktop systems, and helping clients navigate operating systems, productivity tools, and line-of-business applications. As technology evolved, demand grew for secure WiFi, remote access, and video conferencing to support distributed teams and work-from-anywhere models.
Corporate business development and support teams soon began to rely on Lisa's expertise. As a corporate contractor, her work expanded into enterprise systems and networks, where she helped bridge the gap between technical capabilities and real-world business needs—work that now strongly informs her technical writing and knowledge base practice.
Today's Focus
While Lisa continues to understand and speak the language of systems, networks, and operations, her primary focus today is:
- Technical writing for products, platforms, and internal tools
- Structured content creation for guides, FAQs, SOPs, and runbooks
- Knowledge base development and management (governance, taxonomy, workflows)
- End-user and support team documentation that drives adoption and reduces friction
